Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 21 April 2026

This policy applies to all subscriptions purchased through My Teachers Box, operated by Double-D Enterprise (Pty) Ltd.

Monthly Subscriptions

No refund will be issued once a monthly billing period has commenced. You may cancel your subscription at any time; your paid access will continue until the end of the current billing month, after which it will not renew.

Annual Subscriptions

A partial refund may be requested within 30 days of the original purchase date. Approved refunds will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for the unused portion of the subscription term, minus any applicable Paystack transaction fees.

Refund requests submitted after 30 days from the purchase date will not be accepted.

How to Cancel

You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting us at legal@myteachersbox.com. Account self-cancellation will be available through your profile settings when that feature is released.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Your access is not removed early.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email legal@myteachersbox.com with:

  • Your registered account email address
  • The date of purchase
  • Your reason for the refund request

We aim to process and respond to all refund requests within 5 business days. Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method via Paystack.

Statutory Rights & Regional Consumer Protections

Nothing in this policy removes or limits any statutory rights you hold under the consumer protection laws of your country. Specific examples include:

  • South Africa — Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008. You have the right to fair, honest dealing and the right to return goods or cancel services under certain conditions.
  • European Union & United Kingdom — Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive and UK Consumer Rights Act, you may have a right to cancel a digital subscription within 14 days of purchase (cooling-off period). Note: this right may not apply if you have already begun using the service and explicitly consented to waiving the cooling-off period at checkout. We will make this clear at the time of payment.
  • Australia — Under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), you have statutory guarantees for services. Where a service fails to meet those guarantees, you are entitled to a remedy regardless of our policy.
  • Canada — Provincial consumer protection laws may grant additional cancellation or refund rights depending on your province.
  • Other countries — If your local law grants rights that are more favourable than this policy, those rights apply.

If you believe you are entitled to a refund under your local consumer law that this policy does not cover, please contact us at legal@myteachersbox.com and we will assess your request in good faith.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users. Continued use of My Teachers Box after changes constitutes acceptance.
